The Bread of Life Story Kit invites children into the quiet hunger of Lent — the place where we remember that we do not live by bread alone. Rooted in Scripture and shaped through hands-on storytelling, this set helps children explore how God provides in the wilderness and how Jesus fulfills that provision as the true Bread of Life. Through tactile play and guided reflection, children discover what it means to come to Christ with empty hands — and find Him more than enough.

This set is part of a larger series exploring the “I AM” statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John.  Six complete kits will be released over time, each designed to help children discover more about who Jesus is.  The Bread of Life is the fourth set to be released and can be used in tandem with the Lenten season if desired.

*Story Mat (18" × 30")

The two toned story mat acts as simplified dark / light visual and story scene for the stories to be re-enacted.  The mat has a felt-like polyester top with a non-slip rubber base.  It provides a beautiful, durable foundation for storytelling.  (Note: this story mat is used in multiple story sets, so it is versatile!)

Storage Pouch

Double-sided pouch featuring path Lenten red hues. Durable polyester with zipper closure—perfect for storing all figures and story cards.

Story Cards (Set of 8)

Jumbo 8.5" × 5.5" glossy cards with rounded corners that include:

• Overview card 

• Six Bible story cards (with Scripture, teacher notes, icons for needed materials, storytelling script, actions, and “I wonder…” questions)

• Memory Card: the Lord's Prayer, Matthew 6.9-13 (full text on one side; first-letter prompts for memorization on the other)
